Caracas: This is the largest city of Venezuela and is also its capital. It is located along a narrow mountain valley, situated on the Venezuelan coastal range, in the north of Venezuela. The temperature of the valley is strongly similar to that of the spring season. The valley is very near to the Caribbean Sea and separated from the coast by a mountain range that is pretty steep.
Maracaibo: This city is nicknamed La Tierra del Sol Amada which signifies “The Land by the Sun loved”. It is the second largest city of Venezuela and is also the capital of the Zulia state. This city is home to several ancient churches and to the largest fort of the world.
Valencia : This is the third largest city of Venezuela and also the capital of Carabobo State. Venezuela's top manufacturing companies and industries are located in this city. Like several other cities in Venezuela, Valencia too, is located in a valley and is surrounded by th Coastal Range mountains. Venezuela's second largest lake, Lake Valencia lies at the outskirts of the city in the eastern side.
Merida: This is one of the principal cities of the Venezuelan Andes. It is basically located on a plain in the valley of the Chama river. Pico Bolivar, country's highest summit makes the backdrop of Merida skyline. This is one of the Venezuela cities, located at the western part of the country and is home to the prestigious University of the Andes.
Maracay: It is the most important city of the Aragua state and also its capital. It is located at central Venezuela and falls under the jurisdiction of the Girardot Municipality. During the period of dictatorship of Juan Vicente Gomez, this city grew tremendously.
Ciudad Guayana: This city is located in the Bolivar State of Venezuela and lies in the south of Orinoco. At this juncture the river is joined by the Caroni River. Officially founded in 1961, this city is composed of the new town of Puerto Ordaz and the old town of San Felix. This city also harbors one of the main ports of Venezuela.
Barquisimeto: Located in west central Venezuela, this is the capital city of the State of Lara. Here in this city large scale of production, processing and packaging of food is done using modern equipments. This region is virtually surrounded by the sugar cane valley which has further boosted this food processing industry.
