The Golden Ring

The Golden Ring is made up of few Russian cities located in the northeast part of Moscow. Previously, the ring of cities together formed the region Zalesye. The cities are the preservers of the important events happened in Russia. They had an important role in the formation of Russian Orthodox Church. The cities are known better as "open air museums" as they house some of the best architectural works from 12th to 18th century. The architectural excellences can be seen in the Russian monuments like churches, monasteries, cathedrals and Kremlins. The prominent architectural artworks of these cities are the onion domes. The ring of cities is stunningly beautiful and is the most favorite destinations for the tourists, especially from Asia.
