Few of them are as mentioned below- - Lucayan National Park : The Lucayan National Park of Grand Bahamas is the biggest National Parks among the three others located there. This is one of the unique parks in Bahamas, which displays all the six ecosystems of the island. You can visit and see the caves and walk through the spectacular wooden bridge on the mangrove swamp. There is one limestone cave underwater, which is the longest cave in this world. These caves are used for bat conservation. The long stretched white sand beaches are ideal for picnics or beach parties.
- Rand Nature Center: Rand Nature Center is located outside downtown Freeport. It is named after the nature educationist James Rand. James established Rand Nature Center as the first nature education center to preserve the habitation of flora and fauna of Grand Bahama.
- Peterson Cay National Park: Peterson Cay National Park in Grand Bahamas is located one mile away from the south seashore. This Park is a small island, which is surrounded by reefs. While planning to visit Bahamas, you must visit this National Park for a day. This is also a perfect spot for picnic and a day’s trip.
