Universal Studios Attractions

 


The Universal Studios was set up by a German Jewish, named Carl Laemmle. It is considered to be the second oldest studio in entire Hollywood. In the beginning, the Universal Studio was showcasing a series of low budget soaps. With the passage of time there were several standard scripts that came to the studio.

The studio is synonymous to world wide and cross border cinema of various kinds and of different genres. For the ones who have a penchant for exploring the world of cinema, meeting their favorite stars, collecting movie merchandises and memorabilia - the Universal studios attractions is going to be a wonder world for them to be explored.

“All Quiet on the Western Front” which is a movie that is based on World War I, which was shot in this studio was the winner of the “Academy Award” for the best picture. The shooting sets and the ambiance that was created with the props were much talked about. .


Universal Studio – Movies


Over the years the studio had become synonymous to the horror and gruesome movies that was mostly being shot here. To name some notable movies in this regard would be Dracula, The Mummy and Frankenstein. The shooting sets, clothes, props and other equipments that were used for these films and other paranormal movies became a popular attraction for visitors. People from far across the world come and still visit the sets.

Universal studios attractions were not limited to the sets of horror and scary movies only. It also contains sets of other movies that had performances from Deanna Durbin, WC Fields, Mae West and the like. Movies like “Pillow Talk” and “Harvey” were also shot here.

Famous science fiction hits like “Jurassic Park”, “The Schindler’s List”, and “Twelve Monkeys” have also been shot within the interiors of the studio. The sets carry various objects like bones and artificial skulls used in Jurassic Park.

  • The Simpsons Ride is one of the famous attractions. It’s an animated gallery where you can walk, fly along with these characters.
  • There is a ride named the “The Revenge of the Mummy”, which is rated to be the world’s scariest ride. Though it includes fun and adventure yet people who have a weak heart are often allowed not to enter the ride.
  • There is a ride that is dedicated to the lost world of the dinosaur, named as the “Jurassic Park”- The Ride.
  • You can also be a part of the famous animated character “Shrek” in “Shrek -4D” gallery.
