The Las Vegas mayor’s Cup international showcase is co-organized by the Las Vegas city and Downtown Las Vegas Soccer club. Considered top be one of the top- ranked international tournament in the nation, this is a major draw among all the football fanatics across the country. The sporting event of the country, this one is a tournament of the younger generation. Games of under 14 and under 19 are generally, scheduled offering the kids with an opportunity to showcase their skills and grow as a player.
The event is sponsored by big names in the city like, Nevada Commission of Economic Development, Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club, City of Las Vegas, Adidas, Rotary International, Soccer Fanatic .com, And Telemundo. The tournament apart from offering a chance to the city and state teams also provides a field to teams from outside countries. The entry fee of the tournament is $375 only.
The tournament is a “stay ‘n play tournament and it is necessary that you reserve the hotel directly through Sport Teams Accommodation. All teams must reserve a minimum of 8 rooms to qualify for tournament play. It is to be noted that all hotels for the tournament have a minimum 3-night stay. It is also a must that all traveling teams should have their room lists completed by January 7, 2011 to guarantee an entry to the tournament.
