Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris was constructed between 1971 and 1977 and is located near the IV arrondissement of Paris and is in one of the complexes in the region of Beaubourg. Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris has a big public library called the Bibliothèque publique d'information. There are also other important organizations within the center like Musée National d'Art Moderne and IRCAM. IRCAM is well known as a center of acoustic research and music. The center got its name from Georges Pompidou who remained the President of France between the period of 1969 and 1974.
