Format of the French Open


French Open one of the premier tennis events began in 1891. From 1921 the event was played in a red clay court adding to the flavor of the game. In 1925 another milestone was achieved for the French Open when the tournament was opened to the international players. This prestigious event is held over two weeks between mid May and early June. The event commands a global audience and is regarded as one of the most prestigious tennis competitions. In French open you come across a slow playing surface where there are men's singles matches with five sets and no tie break in the final set. It is considered as one of the most physically challenging tennis tournaments in the world and there is a Format of the French Open.
