Events of 2008 French Open

Held annually in Paris, France at the Roland-Garros Tennis Center, the French Open Tennis Championships is one of the most prestigious grand slam events in Tennis. The 2008 French Open is scheduled to be held from May 25th through June 8th, at the Stade de Roland Garros - the French Open Venue since 1928. Flightshotelstours offers detailed guide on the Events of 2008 French Open.

The only tennis tournament of the four Grand Slam Events to be played on clay courts, the French Open was initially called the French Internationals, and the tournament used to be alternately held between Paris' Stade Francais and the Racing Club de France until 1928, when the Roland-Garros stadium was built. Over the years, the stadium has undergone several enlargements and modifications in order to cater to the requirements of modern-day tennis.

The Fédération Française de Tennis has been assigned the role of organizing the various Events of 2008 French Open, besides supporting and coordinating the tournament. The French Open 2008 Events will mark the second of the Grand Slam tournaments on 2007-2008 annual tennis calendar.
