Move over Macau, Las Vegas is the new favorite holiday spot for people in Mainland China. This influx of tourists from China does wonders for Las Vegas tourism. That is why this year Las Vegas tourism authorities left no stone unturned to promote the Chinese New Year. This period is on a whole quite profitable for Las Vegas tourism as it generates a lot of revenue. The reason behind this is the rise of the Chinese upper class that is willing to spend on travel and gambling. There is ample evidence too. The Chinese represent the largest number of foreign tourists coming to USA.

Why do the Chinese prefer Las Vegas tours? Simply because gambling is banned in Mainland China. Even though Macau is slowly turning into another Las Vegas, the original is still what lures people from far and beyond. Apart from that, visa restrictions have eased on Chinese entering the United States in the recent past. That attracts a lot of Chinese tourists in USA and so, USA tourism receives a big boost, thanks to China. Las Vegas tours are becoming increasingly popular in China and the same goes for Las Vegas hotels.

Even though China accounts for only 1 percent of visitors to the United States, according to statistics. However, even that figure is quite large. Other popular destinations for Chinese tourists in USA are San Francisco, New York, Miami, and Orlando.

However, it is Vegas that wins the popularity contest for Chinese tourists in USA. This is so because the Chinese love to gamble and enjoy themselves immensely in Las Vegas casinos. As a result, Las Vegas hotels are packed with tourists from China. Especially since gambling is prohibited in Mainland China. Chinese tourists in USA are normally business owners or lovers of gambling. These well-off tourists also have an astronomical spending tendency as a result. Needless to say, China’s economy is also growing at an unprecedented rate, all the more reason for USA tourism authorities to take the Chinese folks seriously.
