Bal Harbour Shops

The Bal Harbour Shops is a shopping mall located at the Collins Avenue in the suburbs of Miami. The mall is one of the most upscale shopping center of Miami and is one of the best among the few family-owned shopping centers of the city. This luxury retail house has Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus as the anchor stores.

History of Bal Harbour Shops
This high-end store was incepted in 1965 by the developer Stanley Whiteman to cater the needs of the upscale residents of South Florida.The site was previously of a former US Army barracks and prisoners of the war (POW) camp of World War II. The Open-air mall was opened with Neiman Marcus store and later on, in 1976, Saks Fifth Avenue joined in. The stores at Bal Harbors became hugely successful and some secondary stores were added in 1982.
