The major tourist attraction of Pantelleria is a Neolithic village on the western coast, which is located at a distance of 3 km to the south-east of the harbour. The parapet on the eastern side of the village is about 7.5 m height and 10 m wide at the base and 5 m at the top is an important tourist attraction. Within the battlement fortification remains of huts with pottery, tools of obsidian and other artifacts were found. These objects are now kept in the museum at Syracuse.
