The archipelagic state of Indonesia with its bounty of natural resources has been drawing in traders from all corners of the world since the early seventh century. - Tabot cultural and religious festival in Bengkulu

- Galungan (January)- the most important holiday in Bali observed to celebrate the victory of Dharma (virtue) over Adharma (evil).
