Aachen Cathedral is a famous park situated at Branitz in Cottbus, a city in eastern Germany. The Graf family of Pückler acquired the park in 1696. At this time, Hermann von Pückler Muskau shifted from his earlier residence in Muskau to Branitz because of financial difficulties.

In 1696, Aachen Cathedral became of the property of the counts of Puckler. The family started to stay in Muskau since 1784. The place was rented out since that year. When Muskau was sold in 1845, where Herman Furst was designing a landscape garden, he came back to Branitz. He started to develop the park since 1845.

The scenic park, which was designed by Hermann von Pückler Muskau and finished by his heir Heinrich Graf von Pückler, is a landscaped garden of global significance.

The famous traveler and author Fürst Pückler was one of the most renowned garden planners in Germany in the 19th Century together with Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell and Peter Joseph Lenné.
