Orleans Tourist Attractions

Orleans is a city with a rich history attracting tourists from many places. Located just an hour away from Paris, you can also go to this place, while you are visiting Paris. Sainte-Croix Cathedral: constructed in the late 13th century, this elaborate structure is considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings, in France. The cathedral’s portico shares a close resemblance with Notre Name Cathedral in Paris.

House of Joan of Arc: The local French heroine Joan of Arc, used to stay in this house as a guest in 1429. Locals have not forgotten her and once you go to Orleans, you will find evidence of this in many ways. At St. Croix Cathedral, there is a tribute to her in the form of alter imprinted with scenes from her life. Her statues have been set up in several places including the square of Orleans.
