Synchronized Swimming

Amongst the most colorful sports events contested only by women, Synchronized swimming is one. This aquatic event is originally known as water ballet and began in Canada in 1920s. Quite rhythmic, artistic body bending in water and even under water by a group of women is really not an easy job. This event requires constant practice, swift body twisting, and exceptional breath control of the participants. Synchronized swimming (solo and duet events) has been introduced as an Aquatic event in 1984 Los Angles Olympics.
