This journey is going to last 130 days and is the longest expedition in the history of any Olympic Games. The Torch relay is going to cover a distance of 137,000 km. approximately and most of the distance covered is through air. On March 28, 2008 the onward journey will begin from Olympia, Greece because this is where the first Olympics took place. From there the relay will come to Panathinaiko Stadium in Athens. On March 31st it is supposed to come to Beijing. A route has been chalked that will cover almost every continent except Antarctica. The torch is also suppose to be traveling through Mount Everest.
