There are several tourist destinations at Jiujiang. It is a big tourist region and its whole landscape appears more like painting. Jiujiang city, situated at Jiangxi province is basically a historical and cultural city, located at the crossing of the Beijing-Kowloon railway and Yangtze River. This ancient city of China is almost two thousand year old. For years along the middle reaches of the Three kingdoms, it has served as a communication center. During the third century the city was a customs station and in 589 AD, it became a country town. It also an important center of the tea trade from the 17th to the 19th century. Back in 1861, it was opened for foreign trade. The entire city of Jiujinag covers an area of 18.8 thousand km. At present, under its jurisdiction, Jiujiang comprises of nine counties, one city, two districts and Mount Lushan Administration Bureau. If you are in China and you miss Jiujiang, then you are definitely missing one of the key scenic destinations.
