Italian Film Festival
Hand in Hand Art House will proudly showcase the first Italian Film Festival in Newcastle. It will be held at the Greater Union Cinemas. Hand in Hand Art House will contribute all the revenue from the Festival to “Heal for Life Foundation”. The festival will kick off on 15th October (Friday). Mattara Hill Climb
This thrilling car race is held every year on the meandering way of picturesque King Edward Park. Regarded one of the toughest Hillclimb trails in the country, King Edward Park has been a beautiful hill climbing site since 1951. The event has gained a lot of fame and it is currently conducted over two days. The New South Wales Hillclimb Championship will take place on 16 October (Saturday) and the Tri-Challenge series between Tamworth, Newcastle, and Kempsey Sporting Car Clubs will be held on 17 October (Sunday).
A popular attraction of this event is the big historic car show in the adjoining park area, normally displaying classic and sports cars from other automobile and motorcycle clubs in the locality.
