Perth Airport is one of the busiest airports in Australia. The airport plays a very strategic role in boosting the business and tourism of the country. Being strategically located it is connected to many foreign countries apart from the different regions within Australia.
The airport is located in Redcliffe, Western Australia. It has two domestic terminals and one International terminal. The two Domestic terminals are 12 kilometers apart while the distance between the International and the Domestic terminal is 11 kilometers. The International Terminal (terminal 1) is open 24 hours a day and all days a week. The terminal is located on the Easter side. The Terminal 2, i.e., the domestic terminal, is on the western side of the main runway. From this terminal all the Jetstar, Qantas, and QantasLink operates. The Qanats Club is located in this terminal. The other Domestic Terminal (Terminal 3) is operational for the other domestic flights services like Strategic Airlines, Virgin Blue, Tiger Airways and Skywest Airlines.
Apart from these, there is also a Regional Terminal. It comprises of Small terminals which are operated by the service providing companies. It provides charter services and specific regions of Western Australia. Some of the services providers are Maroomba Airlines, Network Aviation Australia, Perth Jet Centre and National Jet.
Airport transfer:
Traveling options from the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal are terminal transfer Bus Service and Long Term Car Park Bus. The former is operational between the International Terminal and the Domestic Terminal. The service is free for Qantas airlines, its code-share airlines and Alliance members. The bus stops are located near the arrival of the International Terminal and in the second terminal of the domestic section. The charges are around $8 for adults and children (Above 5 years).
Long term car park bus service is available at both the International and Domestic terminal. The bus departs after every 10 minutes and it is a complimentary service.
Transport from and to airport:
Shuttle Service
The service includes city shuttles and Fremantle shuttles. Fremantle shuttle is an express shuttle between the airport and Fremantle area. Shuttle services are available to and from the airport in Perth. The connecting shuttle to the Fremantle area offers a pick and drop facility. With reliable and comfortable service, the shuttle services have become a popular choice among the guests visiting the city.
City Shuttle
This shuttle operates between the Perth city and the airport. These city shuttles meet the interstate and international flights throughout the day and week. Guests from motels, hotels, hostels, and backpackers can avail the services running to all the terminals. The shuttle buses for domestic arrivals operate every 30 minutes within the hours of 0900 and 1800 while buses for international flights are scheduled throughout the year. The busses are available at the marked shuttle bay outside the arrival doors of each terminal.
Taxi
They are available on the ground floor of both the terminal.
Car Rental
Car rental is another popular option available at disposal. The operator’s desks are available at both the International and the Domestic Terminal. The counters are located in the ground floor. The service providers are Hertz, Thrifty, Red Spot, Budget, AVIS and Europcar.
Bus
From Domestic Terminal transport is operational. Bus 37 also provides bus service from Kings Park to Domestic Terminal.
