Newcastle Airport is located at a distance of 14 kilometer to the north of the city in New South Wales. It is situated in port Stephens that is around 25 minutes drive to the city. The airport with the IATA code NTL is ranked as the 12th busiest in terms of passenger traffic. The Newcastle City Council and Port Stephens Council own the airport in collaboration that is run and controlled by Newcastle Airport Limited.
